Edge Protection – Pole-Up System in Lewisham

Scope Of Work:

For this Stronghold Hire project, our main objective was to provide roof edge protection for a long serving client quickly and safely.

Pole-up System for Reroofing

The client was in the process of completing a reroof, which meant that the roofers needed a clear run of the roof to work freely. This is where Stronghold Hire’s pole-up system came into play. This system provided the necessary edge protection for the roofers, ensuring their safety while working on the roof.

Systems Used

The pole-up system is a popular choice for contractors in the construction industry, as it offers several benefits over traditional methods of edge protection. On this job, we opted to use our pole-up system. Another project with tight access to either side of the building due to neighboring properties, the system came into its own. The building could not be drilled into so when the surface pressure bracket of the pole-up system was suggested, they knew they had the solution the client needed.

In addition to its ease of installation, the pole-up system uses surface pressure to stay in place, which means that no fixings are required. This is a significant advantage over other systems, as it eliminates the need for patch-ups and other repairs that can be time-consuming and costly. One of the reasons that we decided to choose this system was that it can be installed with limited access. This means that it can be used in areas where space is at a premium. This was particularly useful for our project, as there were neighboring properties that made access to the building difficult.
